I am a plein air painter whose choice of medium is soft pastels. I am fortunate to have moved to France in 2018 and enjoy having homes in both Paris and the countryside. The countryside is where I have a wealth of subjects, a never ending supply of landscape scenes such as rolling hills, vista views and sunsets, a perfect location for a plein air artist.

I have studied with Richard McKinley, Jacob Aguiar and Tony Allain. I have recently decided to challenge myself by painting flowers and am learning the subject from the artist Stephie Clark. Watch for some flower paintings coming soon on this site.

In August of 2010, long before moving to France, I became a partner in the Red Chair Gallery in downtown Bend, Oregon USA. Our idea was for local artists to have a place to show and sell their art. We now have approximately 26 “member” artists who have a permanent gallery to show “Fine Art and Contemporary Craft" as our tag line reads. Even though I live in France now, I still show and sell work thru the Red Chair Gallery, please visit the gallery if you are in the area.
